Killings in Nigeria

Extremist Muslim herdsmen have slaughtered close to 500 Christian farmers in central Nigeria in a series of ongoing attacks over the last month. The attackers are reportedly still hiding out in the villages, making it too dangerous for survivors to return and bury the dead. “We have corpses littered in the field like a war fought in the Roman Empire by Emperor Nero,” said Steven Enada, a development advocate campaigning against the killing, speaking to Morning Star News.’

Houses Passes Bill Declaring ISIS Atrocities Genocide


“The U.S. House of Representatives has unanimously passed a bipartisan resolution declaring that systemic violence committed by ISIS against Christians, Yazidis, Kurds and other ethnic and religious minorities in Iraq and Syria constitutes genocide.” Read the rest at the Clarion Project.

“At a recent news conference, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said “There are lawyers considering whether or not [the term ‘genocide’] can be properly applied in this scenario.” But, while the Obama administration “considers” the issue, the European Parliament recently adopted a resolution which, for the first time, called ISIS’ actions in Syria and Iraq a genocide.”
